What is Biriyani?
Biriyani is one of the oldest and the most delicious foods in the world. It is a rice dish, braised with vegetables, spices and a chosen protein. It is known to have originated in Persia. Biriyani is one of the most popular foods in the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East. Traditionally, Biriyani is prepared on ceremonies and celebrations.
What is the subscription about?
You can subscribe to our "Once-a-Week" delivery service with the menu of your liking. We will deliver fresh food to your doorstep every Sunday for lunch.
Can I make a one-time-order instead of subscription?
Yes. You can make that choice in your cart.
Could I make changes to my subscription?
Yes, you can make that change in your account.
Do you have vegetarian, vegan, gluten free options?
All items in the menu are 100% gluten free. We do not have any non-vegetarian items in the menu. Sure, you can choose between 'veggie' and 'vegan' menu items.
Will the food be delivered hot or cold or frozen?
The Biriyani along with the protein will be delivered hot. The side dishes, e.g., gravies and Mango Lassi will be delivered cold.
How can I reheat the Biriyani?
You can easily reheat the Biriyani with protein in a microwave, or by using a pan on a stove.
What is the shelf life of Biriyani in a refrigerator?
The Biriyani will be good for 3-5 days in the fridge. If frozen, it will be good for a couple weeks.
Are your containers recyclable?
Yes. all our containers and spoons are recyclable.
Can I place the Biriyani bowl in the microwave?
Yes, the black round bowl is microwave & dishwasher safe, and recyclable too.
Could I get a deal if I order Biriyani over several weeks?
Be sure to join our rewards program, "The Yum Tracker" (red button on left bottom of this page), which helps accumulate 10 points for every dollar. Reward points can be redeemed for purchase of menu items.
Are there any hidden fees?
There are no hidden fees.
Can you deliver at my work place?
We deliver within 10 miles radius of our kitchen in Gainesville, FL.
Do you have a storefront for pickup?
We operate from the Working Food commissary kitchen. For now we do not do pickups. Stay abreast with our social media for updates.
What certifications do you have?
At present, we are certified "Vegan Friendly".
What kind of spices do you use?
We buy organically sourced whole spices and grind them ourselves. That way, we are sure to maintain the flavor with high reliability and consistency.
Can I just buy the Biriyani spice from you?

Do you offer any other promotions/deals/discounts?
All delivery orders of $100 or above have free delivery.

We do three farmers markets in Gainesville, FL:
1. Grove Street Farmers Market (Mondays 4-7 pm),
2. Alachua County Farmers Market (Saturdays 8:30 am - noon)
3. Haile Farmers' Market [once a month] (Saturday 8:30 am - noon)
